As I stepped outside and looked to my right , sure enough , I see Zacharia beaming with a cigarette and two beers in front of him . The weather was perfect , a mellow 85 with a slight breeze . I was happy to see my friend and to be immersed in what seems like the happiest place on earth . Everyone here was clearly in vacation mode . Everything was so vibrant here . The people , the colors . After a shot of some good Mexican tequila and finishing off our beers , we were on to bigger and better things .

Needless to say , I was surprised when Zach reminded me that most parts of Mexico are still third world . As we walked the streets , I absorbed everything .
Our first stop was a pizza joint called Wicked Pizza that I swear has the best pies I ’ ve ever had . Zach is friends with the owner and this is where I first noticed that everyone here is really friendly . More tequila and more beer . One of my favorite things about Cabo is that you can walk damn near anywhere with alcohol , as long as it ’ s in a plastic cup . Zach wanted to show me the Marina Cabo San Lucas at night . As we walked with beers in hand , the warm air engulfed us . While we caught up on life , I couldn ’ t help but notice how serene the water was . Neon lights of the city sparkled in the background , making it a picture perfect beginning to my epic Cabo adventure .
The next day , Zach and I ventured to the Sea of Cortez , where his friend , Saul was meeting us . The sand underneath my feet was warm and welcoming . Hagglers everywhere were trying to sell me anything
