In 2011, she met her boyfriend and now
business partner Nick Paniagua, a bodybuilder and also a member of the “straight
edge” community. Veronica was friends
with the person who sponsored Nick and
they were put in touch. On July 4th, 2011,
Veronica moved out of Michigan and Orange
County, California, where Nick lived. It was
there that everything began to grow. Veronica
and Nick worked out side-by-side and worked
as personal trainers together. They adopted
another rescue Pit, Rocky and he began training
as well. Veronica began diligently training with
London, passed the AKC Good Citizen Test, and
started traveling to elderly homes in her packed
schedule to do animal therapy work with patients
suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
