InkSpired Magazine: How and when did
your modeling career begin?
Keighla Night: I’ve lived in Portland for
about five and a half years now. I absolutely
love how beautiful and lively it is! I started to
model back when I was seventeen and still
in high school. I was signed to IMD Modeling,
but due to my wanting to look like the singer,
“Pink,” we parted ways. From there, I started
getting tattoos all over and dying my hair neon
colors. My first tattoo I have since covered up,
but it was a tribal dragon on my back shoulder
blade. My father took me to a colorblind biker in
a trailer. When you come from a biker family, it’s
just the way it is (laughs). My first large spread
was in Bound by Ink and it was shot by Andy Hartmark. I owe him a lot of my success in the industry.
He gave me the push I needed and I still consider
him a great friend six years later. My first shoots for
the industry were done at the Scream at the Beach
in Jantzen Beach, Oregon. It was a haunted house
and there were numerous photographers. I took the
pictures I received and started posting them to the
Internet. Next thing I knew, I was being asked to do
more. I was always a big fan of tattooed women, and
I always thought they were just absolutely gorgeous.
Rock stars in a child’s mind.
