Was it difficult to build a
portfolio, and what did you
learn about the process meeting photographers,
make up artists, wardrobe
people, et cetera?
Lusy: I didn’t find it hard building a portfolio because I knew
in my head what I wanted to do
I just needed to find the right
photographers for the job. You
learn the process as you go
along but I made sure to make
my voice heard so that I got
the results I wanted in the end.
Is it important to be flexible
in what type of photo shoots
and jobs you’ll take, or do you
decide what you will and won’t
do and just stick to that?
Lusy: I decide what I will and
won’t do and that is that. I’ve
always stuck to that, I won’t
be pressured or forced to do
anything I don’t want to and
if they don’t accept that then
that’s their loss, not mine.
Do you ever encounter criticism because of your ink? If
so, how do you react?
Lusy: Every single day, I
encounter criticism because
of how I look; how I feel that
day depends on how I react
towards it… I can be quite rude
and hostile on a bad day because I’m not in the mood for it
but on a good day, I just laugh
at gossip and walk around
proud, ignoring everyone
staring at me.
How old were you when you
got your first tattoo? What
intrigued you about owning
that first piece of ink?
Lucie: I got my first tattoo when
I was sixteen years old. I don’t
know really why… I had been
thinking about it for two years,
so I got it with the money
I earned thanks to my first
job as a model! Then I did a
second one, a third one and so
on… (laughs).
