What is the most interesting tattoo you have been asked to do? There is not a particular one. Many of them are really interesting. Some memorial tattoos have really touching stories. What is the most shocking tattoo you have done? I wouldn’t know either. I did a portrait for a guy of himself while he was holding a joint, putting a really crazy face while looking through a magnifying glass that made one of his eyes really crazy big and wearing a t-shirt that had breasts on it as a reference to his girlfriend who had really big breasts. What do you think a client should expect from you as a tattoo artist, and what do you on the other hand expect from a client to make a successful tattoo, as well as a good collaboration? TRUST in the design. I put all my energy into every tattoo I do. For me, the designing part is very important, and the most important part of that design is the selection of which image is best for the area and how should I place it or color it… I get many clients who say, for example, “I want this skull with this rose and this car, and I want you to do your thing.” I can’t do my thing if you already choose all the images and how to put them! I need for clients to tell me a theme. What kind of work I have done that they feel more identified with, so I know what coloring to use and then just trust me with the rest. I can’t stand when somebody tells me full of fear, “understand, it’s for life…” So, that very same reason is why instead of telling me how to do my job, you should trust me. It’s like saying I’m not going to take it seriously or something. Why did you come to me if you don’t trust me? Choose an artist that you like, and then trust him; he probably knows how to do his job. If not, just don’t do it. 58 InkSpiredMagazine.com
