Sean: What piercers do you look up to, and why? Julian: There are a lot of piercers I admire and look up to, too many to name, but I’ll name a few. Of course, if we start at the beginning, all respects are due to the pioneers who helped to create this industry, like Jim Ward and Fakir Musafar. When I was starting out, my piercer heroes were guys like Kristian White and Blake Perlingieri from the original Nomad in San Francisco. Those guys were like piercing Gods to me and I still have loads of respect for them today. My greatest and longest mainstay of piercing respect of all time has to go to my brother, Dana Dinius. He has been there since the beginning of my career and has been a true friend and source of inspiration for me. His work, employment record, and contributions of service to the APP speak for itself, but more than that, it is the warm and wise content of his character that make him my number one.
