From the Executive Board

September 2015

Welcome! It is with excitement we share our first issue of the Indiana State Reading Journal after a five year hiatus. This issue has been crafted with great care and we hope you find the stories, poems, and essays relevant to your field of education. The Indiana State Reading Association has been working hard over the past few years to bring more professional development, primarily in the form of speakers, to different areas of the state. Our newest goal is to continue reaching Indiana educators through professional development that can reach your desk- via our journal.

Enjoy this issue. Connect with the writers, laugh as a reader, be motivated as an educator, and most of all-, celebrate the wonderful work you are doing every day with our readers and writers across this state. Finally, we want to also encourage you to think about using your own experiences as an educator. Submit a journal proposal to inspire others! We are waiting to hear from you!
