Del Beach Services
Peppermint-striped cabanettes with plush day beds , soft-terry covered luxury loungers and oversized red umbrellas with white fringe dot this private beach club , the only San Diego spot where guests can order up tropical cocktails and local craft brews with their toes in the sand . Beach butlers serve up delicious gourmet eats like roast turkey club sandwiches and California cobbs which pair nicely with a pinot grigio or pale ale . For a fun-in-the-sun refreshing drink try the Del Beach Slushies — daily rotating flavors like mango and peach infused with tequila .
If your group wants to play volleyball , soccer , corn-hole or beach pong , the Del Beach Services team will happily set up games by the sea . Open daily 10am to sunset , March to October .
Painting by the Sea
Settle onto the oceanfront Paseo Lawn with an easel , palette of paints and your imagination . Find inspiration from the ocean setting and the legendary resort with its Queen Anne architecture , red roof turrets , and wedding cake trim . Master-level artists serve as guides during these 90-minute afternoon classes that focus on specific subjects such as the Coronado Bridge , ocean cliffs , beach scenes , sunsets and The Del ’ s iconic red turret . Sip wine and enjoy music while you create your take-home treasure and colorful memory of The Del . Alllevels of aspiring artists ( 21 +) are welcome to join in the fun .

Boat Rentals
Just across the way at the Coronado Boathouse at Glorietta Marina , you can rent a speedboat , sign up for sailing lessons , paddle a kayak , try waterskiing , book a fishing trip , explore the bay on a jetski or charter a yacht with a private captain for a sunset sail .
