No visit to The Del is complete without experiencing the B & S Bar . Honoring the hotel ’ s storied past , the B & S Bar features two new Legend Cocktails : the Twisted Nail and the Kate Morgan .
The Twisted Nail nods to Hotel del Coronado ’ s royal guest , Prince Edward who visited The Del in 1920 and was feted with a glamorous , black tie soiree . The Prince later abdicated the throne for his love of Coronado socialite , Wallis Simpson , whom he was rumored to have met at The Del .
This divine drink is a sophisticated twist on the classic Rusty Nail as it mingles Macallan 12 Year scotch , with Drambuie in an oldfashioned glass rinsed with Laphroaig scotch and rubbed with orange peel .

The Kate Morgan is named for The Del ’ s resident ghost , a mysterious lovelorn stranger who checked into the hotel in 1892 and never checked out . Forsaken by her paramour , she took her own life with a gunshot and is said to still linger around the hotel ’ s grounds . the kate morgan
