Jefferson Elementary School has recently been selected as one of only 179 schools across Pennsylvania to be recognized as a Title I Distinguished School by the Pennsylvania Department of Education . This recognition is based on criteria related to aggregate math and reading PSSA scores , as well as other specific measurable outcomes . The award was presented to Jefferson Elementary at the 2017 Title I Improving Schools ’ Performance Conference on January 31 , 2017 .
