CTA PRESENTS ‘ FOOTLOOSE ’
More than 80 high school students from six different school districts in the Pittsburgh area flocked to the studios at the Center for Theater Arts to “ cut loose ” with a production of “ Footloose .”
“ Footloose ” is the heartfelt story of a father longing for the son he lost and of a young man aching for the father who walked out on him . To the rockin ’ rhythm of its Oscar- and Tonynominated top-40 score and augmented with dynamic new songs for the stage musical , “ Footloose ” celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people , guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind .
Original Broadway cast member and Executive Director Billy Hartung was overjoyed with the opportunity to stage and share his love and excitement for this incredibly entertaining musical with the students at CTA .
The show was performed at the Upper St . Clair High School Auditorium .
