for Potrero Ave.
Work on the Potrero Avenue Roadway
Improvement Project is making
progress: Our contractor paving crew
resurfaced the roadway between Cesar
Chavez and 21st streets in April,
making the street smoother for drivers
and bicyclists.
The project will bring extensive
upgrades to the corridor, including
repaving from Alameda Street on
the north to Cesar Chavez Street
on the south; new sewer and water
infrastructure; and streetscape
improvements to make Potrero Avenue
safer for people walking and biking
and more efficient for Muni buses.
We’re also adding new landscaping and
installing ADA-compliant curb ramps.
Construction began at the end of 2015
and is expected to be completed next
spring.
