PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN
Mighty Math Mondays at 6:45 p . m . Early math concepts for toddlers , preschoolers and their caregivers ! Lots of fun with numbers and more !
Babies and Books Tuesdays at 9:30 a . m ., 10:30 a . m . & 1 p . m . Nursery and action rhymes , books and songs for children up to 24 months , with caregiver . Please , no older children .
2-Year-Old Storytime Wednesdays at 9:30 a . m . & 10:15 a . m . A half-hour of fingerplays , songs and stories for 2-year-olds with an adult . Please , no older children .
Pre-School Storytime Thursdays at 9:30 a . m . & 1:30 p . m . Ages 3 to 6 without a caregiver , meet for 45 minutes of stories , songs and fingerplays .
Dance Party Thursdays at 6:45 p . m . Toddlers and preschoolers with a caregiver , come and dance the night away !
Family Storytimes - NEW Saturdays at 10 a . m . Join us every Saturday for stories , songs , crafts and more !! The whole family is invited to attend !

Join your fellow fans for your favorite anime movies and series . Plus snacks , crafts , games and more ! Newbies welcome ! Open to all students in grades 6 through 12 . No registration required .
Cook It ! Two Thursdays a month at 4 p . m . Whether you ’ re an experienced chef or a kitchen novice , join us to cook up some delicious recipes ! We ’ ll prepare the food , cook it , then eat it ! Plus you ’ ll learn recipes and handy skills you can use in your own kitchen at home ! Open to all students in grades 6 through 12 . No registration necessary !

Programs that happen every week : Senior Computer Club Every Thursday at 12 p . m . – The Senior Computer Club ( SCC ) is a weekly program designed for older adults who are interested in expanding their knowledge of computers and the Internet . The focus of these sessions is on computers and devices with Microsoft Windows .
Write Now ! Every Friday at 10:30 a . m . Conducted by Jeanne Zell , participants enjoy writing from prompts in an encouraging and supportive atmosphere .
Friday Afternoon Movies Every Friday at 3 p . m . Come to the library and enjoy an old flick or a new one . Check the library events page to see what the title is this week .
Sahaja Meditation Every Saturday at 11 a . m . Enjoy the silence , peace and stress release that is always free .
UNIQUE PROGRAMS
Tea and Inspiration Thursdays , March 2 , 9 , & 16 at 6 p . m . Share a cup of tea , reflection , and spiritual conversation centered on uplifting quotations gleaned from a variety of wise sources : the world ’ s Scriptures , poets , artists , philosophers , statesmen . Participants are encouraged ( but not required ) to bring something that helps illuminate a different theme each week .
Pi Day Pie Baking Contest Tuesday , March 14 , at 6:30 p . m . Come to the library bearing gifts of PIE ! March 14 is Pi Day ( 3.14 ) and in celebration of this mathematical day , we will be holding a Pie Baking Contest . This is our 7th Annual contest ! Bring in a pie that you ’ ve made and we ’ ll have an “ expert ” panel of guest judges pick the best one . Apple , blueberry , or bacon ; all pie varieties are welcome ! The winner will get bragging rights and a special pi ( e ) prize . This contest is open to all ages . Please register if you want to bake a pie as there are a limited number of spots available !
How to Avoid Being a Victim of Identity Theft and Scams Wednesday , March 15 , at 3:30 p . m . Specialist Philip Little from the PA Office of Attorney General will be discussing the different ways people become victims of identity theft and scams and the different ways you can learn to minimize your chances of becoming a victim . Please register .
Take a Wise Walk at the Library Begins Thursday , April 6 , at 9:30 a . m . Join us as we begin our 17th season of Wise Walks . If you are an active 50 + adult , this 10-week walking program might be just the thing to get you started on an exercise program . Each week we meet at 9:30 a . m . in the Colbert Room of the library , walk between one and two miles and return to the library for a healthy snack .

Conversation Salon Second Wednesday of every month at 10 a . m . This interesting group of adults meets on the second Wednesday of each month . Coffee and great discussions !
Reiki Healing Exchange Third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p . m . Learn more about Therapeutic Touch and experience a relaxing , peaceful evening . A $ 5.00 donation for the library is requested .
Get Lit : A Social Cure for Your Average Book Club Third Tuesday of every month at 7 p . m . Looking for a social experience with a literary bent ? Join us for an adult book club focused on edgy , irreverent and contemporary titles . Each month we ’ ll meet at a local café or bar so that you can enjoy the discussion over a fresh latte or favorite cocktail ( ages 18 +).

Saturday , April 1 , at The Tull Family Theater , Esmark and Bouchard Family Community Room Join us again as we celebrate what binds and nurtures our community : The Sewickley Public Library and regional artists . All exhibited artwork is for sale , and 100 % of the proceeds from sales will benefit the Friends of Sewickley Public Library .
