March 17 , 2017 : The speaker for the March 17th meeting of the Ross Township Historical Society will be John Schalcosky , who is not only the President of the Society but is also the Founder of the Odd , Mysterious & Fascinating History of Pittsburgh . He will be discussing some of the more unusual & fascinating tales from Pittsburgh ’ s past including Pittsburgh being “ First in Flight ”, tales of Giants once inhabiting the area , research into the unsolved mysteries of North Hills , the discovery of unmarked burial grounds and more .
