Fishing close to home ! This 34.55-acre park was recently improved and features a pond with a fishing pier , a house with kitchen facilities , a picnic pavilion with tables and grills , walking trails and a small play area . Love history ? Make an appointment to take a tour of the Stewart / Schlag log house , built around 1800 . Behind the fishing pier , a 34-foot by 11- foot concrete patio was added that eventually will be surfaced with commemorative granite pavers that are being sold to raise money to buy new playground equipment for the park .
