PINE-RICHLAND HIGH SCHOOL TO PERFORM ‘ JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT ’
“ Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat ” is an operetta musical with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber . The plot is based on a Biblical story about Joseph ’ s “ coat of many colors ” found in the Book of Genesis . Joseph , the favorite son of his father , is one of 12 brothers . The brothers become jealous when he receives a beautiful coat as a gift from their father . As his brothers become more resentful , Joseph is sold into slavery and the tale that follows is the adventure of a dreamer .
Sarah McGraw Krushinski joins the Pine-Richland High School spring musical team this year as director of the production that features more than 50 students and an all-student orchestra and all-student stage crew . The role of Joseph is played by Jake Pedersen .
