relies on a strong network of more than 400 independent
organizations called Member Agencies and Partner Distribution
Organizations to distribute food to individuals and families
throughout an 11-county service area. Many of these organizations
are entirely volunteer based. The dedication of the member
network allows distribution of 26.5 million pounds of food
to 360,000 people annually. Make a difference and check the

A great way to get the whole family involved in holiday giving
to families in need! For more than 33 years, Greater Washington
County Food Bank, a nonprofit organization, has been providing
groceries and nutritional information/education to food-insecure
residents of Washington County. It is estimated that the county
currently has more than 25,000 people who are food insecure.
There is a network of 45 distribution sites and seven agencies. Visit
the website for a list of local food banks in Canonsburg, Peters
Township, Washington and more, for volunteering opportunities,
or to make a monetary donation.
