Former Pittsburgh Steeler Charlie Batch continues to lead the effort to collect new , unwrapped toys for children of all ages . Since the program started , more than 30,000 toys have been distributed to children . Best of the Batch also accepts monetary donations and has volunteer opportunities throughout the year .
