IN Mt. Lebanon Spring 2017 | Page 6

FROM THE PUBLISHER CEO & PUBLISHER Wayne Dollard EDITORIAL DIRECTOR Julie Talerico / [email protected] Welcome to the spring issue of IN Mt. Lebanon magazine. As the ground begins to thaw and trees start to bud, I’m looking forward to the warmer weather to be outdoors. One of the great things about our region is its many parks. Our communities are rich with green spaces for recreation for the entire family. Not only does nature provide space for physical activities, but being outdoors is also good for your mental health, reducing stress and increasing happiness. Studies show that even 10 minutes in a park or urban woodland significantly reduces stress. Our parks also promote a better sense of community. It’s a place for families to picnic, fly kites, play tennis, fish, kayak and gather for concerts. Be sure to read “Parks and Recreation” in this issue. There may be a few parks in your area you’ve never visited. Also check out our spring events listing. From flower shows and food festivals to craft fairs and plant sales, there’s something for everyone! Happy spring! Wayne Dollard Publisher SEND US YOUR PHOTOS! Send Us Your Story Ideas! We’d love to hear from you if you know someone in your community who is making a difference or has done something extraordinary. We’re also looking for interesting story ideas (little-known facts, history or other news) within your community. I
