Annual Display of
Holiday Lights
The City of McKeesport welcomed community groups, student
organizations, churches and local businesses to display themed
evergreens at the Jacob Woll (Main) Pavilion for the Festival of
Trees. The festival ran December 1-5.
“We are all here together -- spreading joy and happiness in
our community,” recreation director Jim Brown said. “We are
celebrating the Christmas season, and that’s what the Festival of
Trees is all about.”
Brown praised festival co-chairs Cheryl Cotter and Pat Harris
for organizing more than 85 trees in the Main Pavilion. He also
thanked the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center
and the Garden Club of McKeesport for participating.
The event also included a bake sale by the
Semper Fidelis Club and concessions
by McKeesport Area culinary
students.
