With a creek meandering through it , this park is home to five baseball diamonds , a vast playground known as Kids Kingdom , miles of hiking trails , a basketball court , and the Mayernik Center , available to rent for events year-round . Summer comes alive between Memorial Day and Labor Day at the Avonworth Community Park Pool , a public swimming pool complete with a slide , diving board , baby pool , changing facilities , and a snack bar . Do you love birdwatching ? This 220-acre site is a non-traditional borough park that can be used for hiking , birdwatching , etc . The park also contains the Bell Acres Trail , which was created with a joint effort of the Quaker Valley High School Earthforce 2001 Group and Bell Acres Borough . The trail is a quarter-mile long and ends at the Merriman House foundation . The Merriman family is believed to be the first settlers in the area . There are no facilities located at this park .
