Kindergarten Open House & Registration Event Scheduled for February 22
Keystone Oaks is holding a Kindergarten Open House & Registration Event on Feb . 22 , beginning at 6:30 p . m . at Dormont Elementary School .
Parents and guardians are invited and encouraged to attend to learn more about the district ’ s full-day kindergarten program . Kindergarten teachers will discuss readiness skills , the screening process , orientation and the transition week . Registration for students entering kindergarten during the 2017-2018 school year will be accepted at the Feb . 22 Open House .

• Register for the Feb . 22 Open House event . Pre-registration is not required , but is encouraged .
• Download a new student registration packet and become familiar with the documents that are required to register your student for kindergarten .
In addition to the Open House event , parents / guardians can also register for kindergarten at the building where their child will attend elementary school on the following dates and times :
Myrtle Avenue Elementary ( Castle Shannon Residents ) Tuesday , March 7 9 to 11 a . m . and 1 to 3 p . m .
Dormont Elementary ( Dormont Residents ) Wednesday , March 8 9 to 11 a . m . and 1 to 3 p . m .
Fred L . Aiken Elementary ( Green Tree Residents ) Thursday , March 9 9 to 11 a . m . and 1 to 3 p . m .

Keystone Oaks Board of School Directors Elects Officers for 2017
The Keystone Oaks Board of School Directors elected Matthew Cesario as president and Donald Howard as vice president during their annual Reorganization Meeting on Dec . 6 . The Board of School Directors also elected Raeann Lindsey treasurer .
Mr . Cesario has served as a member of the Board of School Directors since 2013 . This is his first term as president . Mr . Howard has also served as a member of the Board of School Directors since 2013 and is serving his first term as vice president . Ms . Lindsey has served as a member of the Board of School Directors since 2009 . Last year , she served as vice president .
The Board of School Directors will continue to hold their monthly work session meeting on the second Tuesday of each month , beginning at 7 p . m . in the Board Room . The Board ’ s monthly business / legislative meeting will be held on the third Tuesday of each month , beginning at 7 p . m . in the Board Room . The Board also holds various committee meetings throughout the month ; the dates and times of those meetings vary and can be found on the calendar on the homepage of the website .
