Hayride and Bonfire
The annual Hayride / Bonfire was held on September 24 at Simmons Farm . Families enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmallows . The kids decorated pumpkins , courtesy of Range Resources . The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all . Our thanks to Simmons Farm for its hospitality and to Range Resources for its sponsorship of the pumpkins .
Car Cruise
The Harvest Car Cruise was held on October 2nd . The weather did not look promising in the morning , but thankfully the rain held off . There was a small but happy group of cruisers . There was a nice basket auction and lots of food to offer . Blood pressure screenings were offered by Canonsburg Hospital , and Gobbie Chiropractic offered free back massages . Music was provided by DJ Judy . The proceeds from the Cruise were used to provide Thanksgiving dinners to 20 low income families within the Canon-McMillan School District . Halloween Trail at Canonsburg Hospital
The Parks and Recreation Board again participated in the Halloween Trail this year at Canonsburg Hospital on October 27 . The ghosts , witches , and other costumed participants did not let the rainy weather hamper their fun in the hallways of the hospital as they collected yummy treats . The event was very well attended by all age groups .

Cooking Demo
The Parks and Recreation Board is planning a cooking demo and wine pairing at Bella Sera on Morganza Road on February 9th . This will be the first time for this event , and details are still being worked out . Information will be posted on our website and on Facebook as it becomes available .
