The two equivalent 18 hole championship courses are named after
the two local mountains – “Schmittenhöhe” and “Kitzsteinhorn”. Both
courses provide a park-like, flat terrained experience with many natural
habitats such as reed-bordered lakes and varied fairways.
The course was designed by the English golf architect Donald Harradine.
The first 18-holes of the course was built in 1983, the expansion to
27-holes in 1993. In 1998 the course became a member of the „Leading
Golf Courses Austria“. Some of the world‘s top professional golfers such
as Greg Norman, Bernhard Langer, Seve Ballesteros, John Daly, Laura
Davis, Annika Sorenstam and many others already graced us with their
presence and playing skills in Zell am See-Kaprun.
