IE: What are some of your most memorable moments playing in the
Chicagoland area?
SM: Well, God, I've played lots and lots
and lots of gigs. I think probably the
scariest one was playing at Big John's in
Chicago when the mafia came in, shut

the club down and turned off the ice
machines on Saturday night because
they hadn't gotten their $125 payment
that day or something.
JC: Let's see. For me, it was playing the
graveyard shift at Mother's in a club
band. How we'd stay up until 4:00 in the
morning, I don't know, but we did. That
was our shift, from 12:00 to 4:00 or something. Growing up as a kid, that was the
hardest gig for all of us to go do, but we
always had fun.
