4. Get Tangible with Integrity

A head of a department endorsed a control process to track decisions.

The purpose was to give historical context to future decisions. It's enforced throughout the department and a reference during meetings.

Recently the manager did not follow a decision that had previously been agreed and recorded.

This behaviour was contrary to the endorsed process. The manager did not operate with integrity.

This behaviour wasn't intentional, however the belief system had been damaged.

Integrity is dependent on honesty and requires consistency of action and behaviour. It means you'll do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to it. You're not subject to different rules.

Our level of integrity is measured by how well our actions match our words. When we do what we say we’re going to do when we say we’re going to do it, we are believed, create an environment of trust and build respect.
