WELCOME FROM SHAREENA HATTA
If you had one word to describe
a Hultian, what would it be? Over
the past issues there have been
numerous words that come to mind.
But one that always stands out is
‘entrepreneurial’. So that’s where
we’ve taken this issue and it’s the one
I’m most proud of yet.
We set out to find out who our
Hult entrepreneurs are and what their
businesses do with the goal of showcasing as many as possible.
And, as the word got out, we started receiving an overwhelming
number of submissions! So, while we’re able to showcase a large
number of the companies here, the list definitely isn’t exhaustive. I
encourage you to visit the Hult alumni site to find out more about
each of these alums, their venture, and what they do.
Our spotlights this month feature Kaushal Shah and Dr.
Damien Dandelot. Kaushal’s journey to building a multi-billion
dollar company is truly inspiring. His fellow classmate, Marco
Gorin, now helms Aspire as they take it to the next phase of growth
and they regularly meet with another classmate at least twice a
year. 18 years after graduation, the bonds of Hult are still strong!
Meanwhile despite Damien’s busy schedule, he was happy to take
some time out to share just how he went from a military man to a
consultant at Deloitte. If you’re looking for a strategy to transition in
your career, Damian’s got the advice!
Being in touch with all the alumni featured in this issue has got
me even more excited for the Global Alumni Summit in June and I
highly encourage you to attend! It really is the only time of the year
when alumni from a wide range of graduating years and programs
come together for two intense days of workshops, networking, and
socializing. And what you get at the end of it is priceless—a shared
experience that brings you closer to the Hult community, boosts
pride in your alma mater, and strengthens your alumni network.
