How Dr. Damien Dandelot, MBA Class of 2013, made the transition from Army
Major to Management Consultant, via a PhD and Hult MBA.
Damien, what were you up to before Hult and what have you
been up to since graduation?
Prior to Hult I was a Major in the Swiss Armed Forces working
initially in the combat unit and then in Special Services. It was
an amazing six to seven years in which I enjoyed lots of different
experiences. I learned to accept that you can’t control everything
and that you need to take the initiative and respond quickly. While
in the army I was approached by a professor to do a PhD and
since I didn’t want to go into academia, rather consulting, I decided
to take an MBA at Hult too.
I applied to Deloitte for a position related to human capital
while on rotation in Dubai. I am now a Senior Consultant working for Deloitte in Luxembourg
