With everything being so readily available in the U.S. in this day and age, and an "I want it now" culture, everyone is looking for a quick fix, especially when it comes to weight loss. Where there is a consumer market there will always be someone trying to make a quick buck. Everywhere you turn someone is trying to sell a quick fix weight loss pill, magic get "ripped" solution, or bogus workout equipment. The fitness industry is completely full of fads and gimmicks. Infomercials, magazines and certain supplement companies are hawking "quick fix" products and concepts everywhere you look. Unfortunately fads have always existed and they always will as long as people keep buying into them. We have all seen it, we have all heard it and some of you reading this may have even purchased some of it. The "sprinkle this on your food and lose weight," "the wear this all day on your stomach and get ripped abs," "the take this pill and drop tons of pounds", "the put this thing between your thighs and squeeze it for ten minutes a day and your whole body will magically get lean." As consumers we need to be a bit more cautious when it comes to things that sound too good to be true. Keep these tips in mind the next time you find yourself considering something that might sound too good to be true. 1. Question everything - When you hear or see some form of marketing that promises amazing results with no work or in a very short amount of time. Some questions you need to ask yourself are "Does this sound realistic" "Is there any proof that this works" "Does this make sense?" 2. Use common sense - It one of the oldest saying but one of the truest, If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is! 3. Understand that there is no quick fix - It just doesn't exist. I can assure you that there are no "secrets" or "magic pill" that will get you to your goal. Think about it this way, If a body is something that could be bought the wealthiest people in the world would be the fittest people in the world. The only way to achieve the body you want is through hard work, consistency and discipline. It takes time and patients but in the end it is so worth it. Fun Fact - Four out of the top 10 highest grossing informercials are fitness products. Stop throwing your money away on junk that doesn't work.
