Well, that was me and instead of being upset and frustrated with myself, I owned up to it and I actually
felt a sense of relief because I finally had a plan. I said goodbye to that body and was totally on-board
with whatever Diana wanted me to do. Diana sent me my program and I organized everything into a
binder and spend about a week or so reading everything multiple times and asking Diana a million
questions. If I was going to truly transform, I needed to learn the in’s and out’s of this new life style.
My husband was amazing through the entire process. He was such a huge part of making all of these
pieces fit together seamlessly. He would make dinner, help with homework, take our daughter to dance
class and hang out with all the dance moms each week, and he did all these things willingly. I am one
lucky girl.
As I was getting up every morning, working out and then looking at myself in the mirror wanting instant
results of the run that I just did, I had to keep reminding myself that I didn’t get to 165 pounds overnight
and it takes time to see the changes. My husband kept telling me that it usually takes about four weeks
to see the changes in yourself, eight weeks for those closest to you to notice, and 12 weeks for the world
to notice. Well, week after week, that concept held true during my transformation. As people around
me started to notice that I was losing weight, I was asked many times what my secret was. To be honest
with you, there is no secret. There is no magic pill or shake. It takes dedication, consistency, and
believing in the program. It is realizing that you need to make a change, making a commitment to
yourself that you are truly going to do it, getting your workouts in, and eating right.
I began to realize as the weeks started to go
by, that the nutritional component of this
program is so essential and also a huge
factor in why I was never able to really lose
the weight before I learned how to eat
through my program. I thought we ate
pretty healthy, but I truly had no idea what
good nutrition looked like before Hitch Fit.
I also realized that it was okay to take a
little time for myself because I only have
once chance to be the best “me” that I can
be and it was way past time to get myself
back to a healthier place.
As the weeks went on and I continued to
lose weight, my energy level started to go
up, I would look forward to my runs in the
morning because it gave me a chance to
start of my day in a positive way. My
horrible feet started to not hurt so badly
and my core was getting stronger so my
lower back wasn’t bothering me at all. The
greatest news was that my blood pressure
had dropped significantly and I was slowly
able to stop taking all of my blood pressure
medication.
