HERITAGE HIGH SCHOOL
Do you want to be a record breaker?
On Monday 22nd February students in Year 7
at Heritage High School took part in an attempt
to break the record for the most students
simultaneously taking part in a book quiz.
Students from schools around the country joined
together to take the same quiz at the same time.
Some of the questions were really tricky and the
rules were very strict. All students who were in the
hall had to be actively taking part and if you left
the hall for any reason you were not allowed back
in! We all had a lot of fun doing the quiz thanks
to some fantastic comparing from Mr Emment.
In total we had 138 students successfully
complete the quiz. Fortunately no students
had to be discounted from our total and all
students
successfully
completed
the
quiz.
The current record is 2,680 people and
we will find out on World Book Day, 4th
March, if we helped to break the record.
A big thank you to everyone who helped
organise and support the event, we could
not have taken part without your assistance.
Be Your Best
At Heritage High School we believe it is important
for every student to “Be Their Best” and during
this term we have launched our “Be Your Best”
poster below. There is now an expectation that
students always give their best behaviour, best
effort and best presentation in every lesson.
Below is the new poster to be displayed across the
school.
Sainsburys Active Kids Vouchers
As a school we are collecting the Active Kids
vouchers from Sainsburys. The more vouchers
we collect, the more new sports equipment
we can provide for the students at our school.
The vouchers are in Sainsbury’s stores from the
27th January to the 3rd May 2016. If you have
any vouchers, please can we ask you to bring
them to Student Services where the collection
box is placed or hand them to a member of the
performance staff. Thank you for your support.
