Trinity High School Trojan Talk For the past 10 years, the Trojan Talk Advisory Program has been pairing volunteer community mentors with groups of 15–20 students to discuss a variety of real world topics such as character development and leadership skills. More than 100 mentors present to their designated student groups each month throughout the school year, and in most cases, the mentors continue their Trojan Talk with the same group of students for multiple years in a row. This design allows the mentors to truly forge a personal and impactful relationship with the students. The mentors come from many different walks of life – business owners, city officials, clergy members, and even law enforcement officers such as Raashid Brown. “This program allows professional and successful people to connect with high school students as a role model, or even a believable hero,” said Brown. “I believe each of these kids has greatness inside of them. I’m just here to provide guidance for what steps they need to take to achieve it.” “He has helped me grow as a person,” senior Ariana Cox said of her Trojan Talk mentor, Raashid Brown. “Through this program I have realized I am worth more than what other people might see, and I can achieve great things no matter what imaginary limits might be set upon me.” Welcome our New Deputy Superintendent for Business Operations Business Manager for the 2002–2003 school year and returned to Midland ISD to become the Chief Financial Officer and has worked in that position since.
