HEB Reads!
Community Summer
Reading Challenge

The city libraries of Hurst, Euless, Bedford, and the
HEB ISD school district are excited to introduce
HEB Reads!, our summer reading challenge to
the COMMUNITY! And because we feel that it
is important that adults model the behavior we
expect of our children, our 2016 HEB Reads!
Community Challenge encourages pleasure
reading this summer for all citizens, of all ages!
This year, we are sponsored our first-annual
community wide kickoff party on Saturday, April
30, at Pennington Field. The event featured the
musical stylings of Mr. Blue Shoes, games, and
activities as well as remarks from our district and
city officials about the importance of summer
reading. We owe a tremendous round of thanks
to our amazing district adopters who stepped up
to provide everything from free meals (thanks InN-Out Burger!) to free books so that our event
could be a huge success!!! We could not do
