THE BOCA GRANDE CAMERA CLUB Bring your camera this season to improve your photographic skills and enjoy the company of fellow photographers . Camera club members will listen to professional photographers speak , discuss photography , participate in workshops and share photos . The club has an exciting series of talks , workshops , local photographic trips and events planned . As always , more experienced photographers will mentor and share as needed . Club meetings are held in the Houghton Room of the community center from November to April . Check the Boca Grande Community Center calendar for upcoming events . THE BOCA GRANDE DUPLICATE BRIDGE CLUB ACBL sanctioned duplicate bridge games are offered at the community center on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from October to May . Starting time for both games is 1:00pm . We will also offer lessons on Monday and Wednesday mornings . On Mondays , there will be lessons for novice players ( players who know how to play bridge but have limited or no experience at duplicate ), as well as for beginners ( players who have yet to learn the greatest card game ever ). Wednesdays ’ lessons are for intermediate players ( players who want to improve their bridge skills ). Our goal for both the games and the lessons is to provide a friendly , supportive environment for all our players . Come and join us ! GRANDE GLEE Take center stage singing your favorite song ! Beginning Friday , October 14 , 2016 in the Multi-Purpose room at 9:00am . Belt your heart out as the audience goes wild ! All the best singers on Boca Grande are your backup ensemble ; the harmony is amazing !
Together , we ’ ll work on one new song at every practice , starring a different lead singer each week . You choose the song you want to star in and the rest of the cast will back you up . It ’ s a chance to improve your vocal quality while you ’ re having fun ! Sharon Ponte and her keyboard will be warming us up , rehearsing last week ’ s number and working with us on one new song each week . There ’ s no memorizing . No stress .
