The Search for Bigfoot
The search is on ! Will we be successful in finding this illusive creature ? We ’ ll explore the legend of Bigfoot as we hike through some of more remote areas of camp . What kinds of evidence do animals leave behind ? How do we know what kinds of animals live at the camp when we may not see them ? How can the things animals leave behind ( nests , bones , scat and trails ) tell us about the secret lives they lead ? We ’ ll also discuss the importance of myth and stories and how they bond communities together and are used to explain the unknown . As a final investigation , we ’ ll learn about the unreliability of eyewitness accounts . Junior Girl Scouts will receive their Animal Habitats skill building badge .

CSI Academy
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a crime scene investigator like those on popular shows ? In our forensic science summer camp , get hands-on experience with a variety of forensic science techniques , like lifting prints from surfaces , making castings of footprints , analyzing blood spatter and more ! Cadette Girl Scouts will receive their Special Agent skill building badge .

Camp Katniss inspired by The Hunger Games
The popular Hunger Games heroine inspires us to do all of her favorite things at camp ! Feel like you ’ re walking in her boots as you practice plant identification and tracking , basic first aid and , of course , archery ! Learn to braid hair , take a creek hike , cook over a fire , build a shelter and spend a night sleeping under the stars ! Play a campwide game of hide-and-seek , and see if you have what it takes to be the winner !

Mystery Trip
This is truly a camp session of epic proportions ! Each day you ’ ll face a series of challenges , obstacles and problems to solve . Along with your team , you might decode instructions , step outside your comfort zone and push your boundaries to figure out where you ’ re supposed to be ! As you go , you ’ ll gather a series of clues that ’ ll point you in the direction of your two-night mystery trip to a location outside of camp . You ’ ll have time to really experience everything we have to offer at Conshatawba , make amazing lifelong friends and create memories you ’ ll have for a lifetime ! ( Parents / guardians will be in on the secret and receive classified information about the trip prior to camp .)

Mad Scientist
Bubbling beakers , crazy concoctions and exciting experiments all await you at camp ! Grab your goggles and get ready to get a little bit weird as you create your own slime , make the BIGGEST bubble and mix up ice , salt and milk into something that tastes delicious ! Ready for more ? You ’ ll also jump in the pool and play around in nature , too !

This camp session for older girls is all about doing things you normally don ’ t get to do at camp ! Have a shaving cream fight . Play night games after the other campers are in bed !
