One of the best things about welcoming a new year is the promise of a fresh start and a whole 365 days of new possibilities ahead of us . It ’ s the perfect opportunity to reset , set new goals and plans in motion , try more things , enjoy more experiences , and attempt to be a better version of yourself than the year before .
Speaking of more experiences , here at GEM Magazine we are always looking for great new adventures in restaurants and dining to try . From the hottest new enoteca to the best mom and pop neighborhood gems , we have severe FOMO ! So , we went right to the source and asked Chicago ’ s best PR gurus behind some of the city ’ s most sought after restaurants to share their favorite places for great eats and drinks .
We headed south of the border — further south than you may think — to find some new flavors and culinary treasures . We spoke with Latin American foodies and food bloggers to give us a tour of their country ’ s culinary delights .
