  Lorem  Ipsum     8   KEYNOTE  SPEAKERS   David Poritz Rob Burroughs For the past ten years David has worked to bring about improved practices and increased accountability in the oil and gas sector. As Equitable Origin’s founder and Co-President, he is the chief advocate for its social purpose in its goal of insuring more responsible oil and gas exploration and production. David graduated from Brown University and is a current member of the Henry David Thoreau Society for the Environment and has received various accolades for his work in advancing environmental practices, such as acknowledgement as a Rhodes Scholar in 2012. http://www.equitableorigin.com/how-eoworks/overview A dedicated GIN alumnus himself, Rob Bourroughs has worked to engage young people in taking action to address local issues with global understanding for the past 7 years. Since 2010, he has been the global youth ambassador of an NGO called Grassroot Soccer, which uses the power of football to fight HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. During his time at Mount Allison University as the top environmental advisor to university’s president, Rob authored Mount Allison’s first sustainability report. Rob is currently a master’s candidate at the University of Ottawa’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
