a visa. I refused to go home so I
exchanged my airline tickets for
the next plane to the tropical
island of Saipan in the Northern
Mariana Islands.
7. I sat on the top of a public
Nepali bus as it zigzagged
through the Himalayan
mountains.
8. I climbed 5,545 meters into
the heavens to witness Mount
Everest and the Himalayan
mountain range.
9. When I was dropped off at
the wrong pier on the 2-day
slow boat cruise through
Northern Laos to Luang
Prabang, I had to walk
alongside the boat for 8km.
