The Euro Banking System a high Risk Business
Any attempt to create a solid Financial System which entails the use of a single currency (Euro) and
the creation of a liberal free market among the European member States that had chosen to house
their ambitions for proliferation under a common vision can undoubtedly be included in the high risk
business market segment. Unfortunately when Charles Perrow (1984) wrote his book “Normal
Accidents” he could not have thought that within a number of years European countries would have
discussed entering into a new financial alliance, an operation that undoubtedly belongs to the worst
quadrant, as depicted into his interaction/coupling chart , the upper to the right, as between the parts
of the system we have both complex interactions and tight coupling.

Banking System by Dimitrios Soukeras.
