Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children is a
non-profit Christian organization
committed to feeding God’s children
hungry in body and spirit. The approach
is simple: children and adults handpack meals specifically formulated
for malnourished children, and these
meals are shipped to nearly 70 countries
around the world. FMSC provides a
meaningful service opportunity for
groups. Please note: volunteers must wear
closed toed shoes. Otherwise, clean, comfortable
clothes are recommended. Do not wear or bring
any jewelry. There will be time to shop at the
MarketPlace, which supports artisans around
the world and the FMSC food program. Volunteer
work can be done while standing or sitting. Enjoy
a late breakfast or early lunch on your own at
Pomegranate Restaurant before our volunteer
shift. Trip includes transportation and our

Anderson Animal Shelter
Anderson Animal Shelter cares for
over 3,000 homeless pets. Learn how
they do what they do, tour the newly
renovated spaces and get a chance to
meet some of the animals, staff and
volunteers. Their mission requires a
LOT of dog and cat food, toys, cleaning
supplies and other items to make sure
the animals are happy and healthly.
You are welcome to bring a donation of
items from their wish list. After our tour,
enjoy lunch on your own at Wee Dees
in South Elgin, specializing in breakfast,
lunch sandwiches and Greek food.
Trip includes transportation, tour and donation
