Shake, Rattle & Roll at Starved Rock

Get rowdy, snap those fingers, and clap your hands for this
unique show that will get you rockin’ and ready to dance!
This rock and roll show will include favs from Bobby Darin,
John Mellencamp, Neil Diamond, Dean Martin, the 50’s and
60’s and more. Before the show enjoy a hot lunch buffet
of salad, mixed veggies, potato, coleslaw, 2 entrées, rolls,
beverages and dessert. Trip includes transportation, buffet, and show.

Milwaukee Progressive Food Tour
Our day begins on Old World 3rd Street with an overview
of Milwaukee’s German history. Enjoy sausage, cheese
and beer/root beer at the Wisconsin Cheese Mart. Time is
allotted for shopping. Next is the Irish history and a stop at
the Public Market. Lunch at Polonez will feature generous
family style feast of salad, cheese pierogi, mashed potatoes,
sauerkraut, Polish sausage, pork cutlets, red cabbage, and
milk, tea, coffee or soda. Continue our tour of the city along
the lakefront; see the Milwaukee Art Museum and the North
Shore Lighthouse. Visit Brady Street, Milwaukee’s Italian
enclave with stops at Peter Sciortino’s Bakery and Glorioso’s
Deli. Minimal walking, but lots of on and off the bus. Conclude
our visit with a custard treat. Trip includes transportation, food and

Perfect Summer Day: Cruise & Lunch
A true summer delight starts with a one and a half hour boat
ride on the Fox River. Enjoy a box lunch from Subway with
choice of 1) ham, 2) turkey or 3)Italian BMT, which includes
potato chips, cookie and a beverage on the boat. Please
indicate your choice when you register. We’ll board the boat
at 11:00 am and cruise at 11:30 am. Fee includes transportation

The Resiliency Institute is a non-profit educational
organization demonstrating a resilient permaculture
community. The Institute is located on The Conservation
Foundation’s McDonald Farm in Naperville. The Conservation
Foundation is a not-for-profit land and watershed protection
organization. Their mission is to preserve open space and
natural lands, protect rivers and watersheds, and promote
stewardship of our environment. The farm is a 60 acre
farm surrounded by suburban development, preserved for
conservation, education, and agriculture. Today learn about
these two organizations and how they are working for a
better tomorrow. Trip includes transportation, tours and picnic lunch.

The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art is a true gem! Lapidary
is the art of cutting and polishing stone. Discover the
upper level of the museum that is home to a large display
of Chinese Jade and hard stone carvings from around the
world. The building itself is designed to resemble a jewel
box in a park setting. Enjoy a video, a variety of exhibits, and
time to browse the gift shop. Lunch is on your own at Ki’s
restaurant. Trip includes transportation and admission. Deadline: 7/21 (DR)
