EXODUS 2055 : A Future Heroine ’ s Call by Cathie Wright-Lewis

Wake up , Karma . It ’ s 6 in the morn , the break of dawn ... January 9 2055 ,” the daylight alarm rhymes in a tender Michael Jackson tone . The slow yet funky crescendo of Break of Dawn ascended until it was loud enough to awaken me . Blissfully , I breathed to the beat .

“ I don ’ t know what I ’ m gon ’ do . I can ’ t stop loving you ,” I whisper-sung before my eyes fully opened . I smiled , remembering why I chose today ’ s song for my morning alarm . Break of Dawn was mom ’ s favorite MJ song .
“ Hmmm … Happy Birthday Mama . I miss you ,” I said aloud . I always talked to her as if she was still alive .
I tightened my eyelids , and continued breathing at the song ’ s slow pace . My mind opened wider with every inhalation . Simultaneously , my spirit elevated each time I exhaled . Finally , I could see Mama . I was facing her in my mind . We were the same height now . Immediately we embraced . I relished her energy as we held one another and placed our heads on each others shoulders . We continued hugging and landed in a 20 year-old memory …
“ You ’ re the prettiest Mommy in the world ,” I remembered saying as I looked into her big brown eyes . My five-year old fingers gently smoothed her cherry-wood cheeks , slid across her diamond studded ears , and down her gold streaked auburn dread locks .”
“ And you ’ re the prettiest girl in the world ,” she said in my voice as we looked in the mirror together , “ you look just like me ! Ha , Ha HAAA !” her infectious laugh rung in my ear . I wanted to laugh too . But before I could crack a smile , I realized the euphoria was gone . I knew I was back .
“ Mama ?” I called , and reached for her . I knew her spirit had returned with me . I felt as if she was right next to me . My eyes popped open , hoping she would be sitting on my wide cocoon bed . My head momentarily tilted forward , as I glanced around my dark apartment . But no Mama .
“ Are you here Mama ?” I asked and held my breath . For a second , I really expected her to answer . Then a sudden scent of lotus graced my nostrils , and I sensed her departure . Bowing my head in respect , I exhaled and recited the mantra she taught me — the mission we created together five years ago , “ Earth elevation for universal salvation . Do the work !”
Cradled within my floating foam bed , and Mama ’ s lingering energy , I hesitated to rise . I attempted to lean backwards , and steal one last moment with Mama .
“ Time to get up Karma !” the angry alarm voice scolded . The effective warning tone was created for mornings like this , when I need to be jolted out of an astral projection . Feeling like I was about to punished , I immediately placed my feet outside of my elevated bed to deactivate the alarm . The bed lowered four feet above the floor so I could comfortably stand before it swiftly elevated to the ceiling . “ Have a lovely day Karma ,” it sweetly wished me before the alarm signal slept .
“ Thanks ,” I said , with mama still on my mind . I grabbe my robe and sunglasses , put them on and walked towards the east window .
My sun-blocking aluminum blinds automatically retracted with a wave of my hand . A rush of heat and sunlight flooded my entire house and painted every wall bright white . Flowers re-bloomed . Green vines slithered down the walls adding lavender , sky blue , rose and marigold above and below each window east , west , north and south of the circular abode . Though indoors , the sunlight morphed six feet of the inner perimeter of the seemingly empty shell into a tropical paradise .
Birds of Paradise , Parrots , Sun-birds , Hummingbirds mildly chirped and whistled as I exhaled . Simulated panthers
