Reflection Nebula GGD 27 Revealing the Chaotic and Messy Environment of a Stellar Nursery
This near-infrared image was obtained using FLAMINGOS-2 , the infrared imager and spectrograph on the Gemini South telescope in Chile . It is a color composite made using four filters : Y ( blue ), J ( cyan ), H ( green ), and K s
( red ). The total integration ( exposure time ) for all filters is just over one hour . The image is 4.6 x 3.5 arcminutes in size and is rotated 35 degrees clockwise from north up and east left . More information can be found here .
