PF Growth Partners Opens
Planet Fitness’s 1,000th Club

une 1, 2015, was a monumental day
in Planet Fitness history when the
company officially opened the doors to its
1,000th club, which is located in Washington, D.C. To celebrate the achievement,
a sweepstakes was hosted by Planet
Fitness on Facebook and Twitter from
June 8-11. One grand prize winner was
selected to receive $1,000 with additional
prizes including $500 for two people and
$100 for 10 people, along with Planet
Fitness-branded items. As part of the
weeklong festivities, Planet Fitness also
randomly surprised five members in clubs
throughout the U.S. with $1,000.
The 1,000th club is owned by Victor
and Lynne Brick of PF Growth Partners,
LLC. They were notified they were fated
to be the 1,000th club several weeks
before the grand opening. Delighted with
this fortune, Victor Brick proceeded with
construction, making sure that the club
opened on schedule. Brick said there was
a substantial amount of buzz surrounding
the opening due to online publicity.“All
the publicity of the event opening greatly
increased the awareness, traffic and sales
of the grand opening and every week
since. The buzz has still continued to this
day,” he commented.
To further celebrate this milestone,
Planet Fitness locations in the United
States and Canada opened their doors
June 11 for a“Free Day of Fitness,”which
allowed anyone to experience the famous
Planet Fitness Judgement Free Zone®
and non-intimidating workout environment for free with no commitment. New
members also had the opportunity to join
Planet Fitness for only $10 down and $10
a month as part of a special offer.
“The greatest strength of the brand is
exactly what they promote: The Judgement
Free Zone. We make people feel comfortable and welcomed,”continued Brick.“We
were humbled and honored to be fortunate
to be the 1,000th Planet Fitness club. But
it was the effort of all 999 clubs that came
before us that has allowed us to achieve our
