SOCIAL BUZZ VEILED PROPHET BALL HONORS VOLUNTEER SERVICE The 130th Annual Veiled Prophet (V .) Ball .P was held Saturday, December 20 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis. More than 2,000 friends and family members looked on as the Veiled Prophet crowned as his Queen, Miss Merrill Clark Hermann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Hermann, Jr. Each December, the Veiled Prophet Ball serves as a venue for introducing young ladies, generally in their sophomore year of college, to the St. Louis community, and honoring their commitment to community service. Last summer, the seventy young women who were honored and their families contributed over 2,500 volunteer hours with the following community-based service organizations: Beyond Housing, Food Outreach, Operation Brightside, Rainbow Village, Gateway 180, Northside Community School, Marian Middle School, YWCA, U. S. Vets and American Red Cross. Photos courtesy of V eiled Prophet Organization A C D E F
