WOMEN WHO INSPIRE
Borson and The St. Louis Cancer and
Breast Institute, and Amy celebrated her
last radiation treatment by gifting 215 CDs
(made possible through various donations) to
St. John’s Mercy Medical Center Radiation
Oncology Department at the David C. Pratt
Cancer Center, St. John’s Mercy Lymphatic
Massage Therapists and their patients,
and to the Cancer Support Community of
Greater St. Louis.
During Amy Camie’s chemotherapy treatment
regime, she had a vision for a series of
photographs that captured her true essence,
entitled “I Am.” Amy said the photos are
more about life than they are about cancer.
They remind her that she is so much more
than her experiences.

She came up with the idea of a photo series
that would embrace the loss and hopefully,
inspire other women facing the same
experience. She bought a wig, but tended to
wear scarves or nothing on her head.
Her own personal tag line is “Loving Life…
All of It,” and she describes her cancer
journey as one of “love, compassion and
unification.” Her book, “Loving Life…All
of It, A walk with Cancer, Comp
