HEALTH & WELLNESS family . I returned to India and began the process . Fast forward to June 2016 , and here I am with my beautiful wife and two daughters living and working in the U . S . My wife is a personal trainer and specializes in all kinds of fitness workouts that do not rely on machines . We both teach at some of St Louis ’ s top fitness training locations .
Q : You have been fighting since you were 5 years old . What advice would you give to an adult who is just starting out and feeling intimidated ? A : 1 . Don ’ t worry . My program , “ Fighting Fit ,” has nothing to do with fighting another person . It has everything to do with fighting an unhealthy lifestyle and fighting to be fit .
2 . Conventional fitness can sometimes become boring . It can also get a bit confusing , and many new fitness gurus are emerging with new fitness mantras . Martial arts have existed as long as people . Combat has been around since the earliest years of mankind , and humans have always needed to prepare for combat to defend themselves against others . Fighting Fit is a martial arts-based fitness program that relies on the natural training concepts of combat , yet we train purely with the intention of pursuing fitness goals .
3 . If you try punching in the air with both hands for 30 seconds , you will feel something in your body that you ’ ve never felt before . You will feel your heart beating like your body is saying , “ Hey , I like this !” That ’ s where we start .
4 . Everyone enjoys good music . Fighting Fit is a program with martial arts moves choreographed to music .
Q : Who is a great candidate for kickboxing ? A : I feel that anyone can be a great candidate . I teach kids from the age of 5 , and I also teach men and women up to 60 or 65 . Music can inspire anyone to get their feet tapping and fingers snapping . Because my program is music-based , Fighting Fit gets people kicking and punching . In the air , that is - not at each other . We call it shadow boxing .
Q : Why is cardio important to a fitness regimen ? A : Good blood circulation , good habits of breathing correctly , and sweating out all the toxins inside our bodies . Cardio training is the most important part of your training regimen .
Q : What kind of things can one expect in kickboxing class ? A : Foot-tapping dance music , group motivation , an energetic , charismatic instructor , punches , kicks , elbows , knees and a whole bunch of martial arts moves to get that heart beating .
Q : How can people sign up for one of your classes ? A : They can reach out to me by sending a text message to ( 314 ) 203- 6068 , or an email to tigersgym @ gmail . com , and we will suggest a Fighting Fit center based on the area that they are located .
