into a family honored tradition where hurlies and jerseys are past down from generation to generation, taking pride in the sport and the club they represent. A little ambitious, maybe. Will this happen in a couple years – no. Is this the future of NGAC – yes! Atlanta, Knoxville, and so on as well as putting on a scrimmage at the Nashville Highlands Games that drew several recruits to the club. MOLLY BOMBARDI-MOUNT – CLUB SECRETARY GRANT GILL – MEMBER & RESIDENT GRAPHIC DESIGNER Liam Barry, a colleague, invited me to check out the game one weekend and I was immediately hooked. I enjoy coming together with people from a variety of backgrounds to learn a game that is foreign to almost all of us. I think it is very special when people bond in that way. I also very much enjoy having a highly competitive outlet week in and week out that I can look forward towards. It often gives me motivation to stay active and definitely gets me through some weeks. I think the club will continue to grow. This past year alone we have made our presence known in Nashville through hosting our first tournament that drew teams from St. Louis, My favourite part of the club is the warm and welcoming culture that has been cultivated by all our players—old and new. Besides hosting our own tournament, I think the greatest success on the field is making room for all skill levels while continuing to grow as club Greatest success off the field is making Thursday socials an ongoing occurrence. This is a testament to the clubs camaraderie in addition to everyone’s love for the game. 17
