The Georgia Office of Victim Services serves registered crime victims with offenders in prison or on community supervision. This office provides victims with updates regarding the status of the offender. The office notifies victims if an offender is being considered for parole and if the offender is released from state prison.

The Georgia Office of Victim Services ensures the victim's voice is heard throughout the process.

This office operates the Victim Information Program or V.I.P. This is a 24-hour automated information system which provides crime victims and their families with access to information about the offender. You can read more about this program on page 34.

In conjunction with the Parole Board, the Georgia Office of Victim Services also serves crime victims by conducting Victims Visitors' Days. Read more on pages 34 and 35.
