WELCOME TO FUND SELECTOR ASIA’S
SECOND ANNUAL FUND INSIGHTS DIRECTORY

FSA presents its second annual Fund Insights Directory, a
quick reference for funds available for sale in the region.
Working with our data partner, FE Advisory, we’ve sectioned
the directory into 15 asset classes that capture the majority
of funds for sale in the region. To be listed, a mutual fund had
to be available for sale in Hong Kong or Singapore and have a
three-year track record as of 31 March.
There are some changes to this year’s directory. We’ve added
more data and editorial commentary. FE has provided a
return/volatility chart for funds in each asset class and a
sector performance outlook.
More products have been included because the AUM
requirement is now a minimum of $20m. Last year,
minimum AUM was $100m.
Also new this year is the identification of funds in the FE 100
rankings. These designated products have been selected by
FE Advisory as the top 100 funds available for sale in Asia
based on performance, alpha and other quantitative data.
We realise that fund data is dynamic. However, the reader
of the directory can still get a general sense of the products
available in Asia. In fact, the Fund Insights Directory would
also be useful for any wealth or asset manager outside of Asia
who wants a snapshot of the region’s mutual fund landscape.

FE is delighted to be working once again with Last Word
to produce the second edition of the Fund Selector Asia
Directory. As investors, we all know navigating through the
vast plethora of funds available in Hong Kong and Singapore
can often seem like a more arduous task than getting a seat
on the MTR or MRT during the morning rush hour, but
hopefully we have helped set the landscape through the
insights we have shared with you in this directory.
With over 3000 funds across the two markets, we have
condensed the universe to highlight funds with at least a
3-year track-record and with each further categorised into
one of the 15 broad sectors for greater ease of comparison. I
hope this directory bring you success in your fund selection!
